Glacer FM Conspiracy (Dirty Secrets Exposed)
Despite being a relatively new, Glacer FM has become one of the greatest upcoming radio stations in the world today. This is largely due to its relationship with the press as well as the proximity with music fans. However, being a thriving new station has equally led to numerous attacks from its competition.
From negative publicity to hack attempts and much more, the competition would do everything to ruin them but to no avail.
In this article, we would reveal the dirty secrets behind this scam scheme, the actors, the strategy that was put in place to execute their plan as well as a proposed solution to stop their agenda.
The Dirty Secrets
There is a conspiracy by some unscrupulous scam radio stations in the unsigned music sector to keep their operation costs lowest, providing the poorest quality advertising services to unsigned artists who are ignorant about the difference.
To maximize on their profits, scam radio stations would put-up lowest-quality websites plus poor services, just to make money off artists and neither for the sake of innovating on the image of the unsigned radio industry nor in the interest of the artists.
Moreover, upcoming artists are just starting out and usually have never gotten played on any radio station, therefore they are unable to tell the difference between a legitimate radio station and a scam. This makes them want to jump at any opportunity to have their music played somewhere. They would stay contempt and happy to see these scams as the standard for an unsigned radio station because they are ignorant and can’t even tell the difference.
False Review By Glacer FM’s Competition
Since the creation of Glacer FM, unscrupulous scam radio stations like the one in screenshot above are under threat as the new standard has been set for what an unsigned radio station should be like.
The older stations are unable to able to compete to stay relevant as they are adamant to taking adequate financial risks to improve themselves, hence, the immediate solution is using wayward tactics of destroying innovation which discredits their poor work.
One of these tactics applied in frustration by another popular competitor by name College Underground radio and their allies was to suddenly stop selling their advertising services to promote the ideology that it is illegal to sell any music promotional services to artists. They then proceeded to implementing their plan through negative press.
College Underground Radio has been selling their services for over 12 years and suddenly stopped, just so that the plan put in place could work. In the next sub heading we will discuss in detail how they went about this plan against Glacer FM.
The Strategy

In the first part of their scheme, David Hottle at College Underground Radio, stopped selling his playlist promotional services and then partnered with an artist/writer by name Charlie Smith who will write a negative post to say he was shocked to make a new discovery about Glacer FM selling theirs.
They artist/writer will then publish his post, warning everyone to get the plan to work well. The intention of the write up was to give the impression to the reader that the author is an artist who has just made a striking discovery and is trying to warn other artists. Charlie Smith being an artist himself, will make for a well-planned arrangement and get the story to sound more convincing.
To make it more effective and look like an independent opinion, the writer also mentions that his advice is for artists never to buy advertising from any station, and he is of the opinion that anyone selling services is a scam.
He also says in his review that ”smaller radio stations are a better option and if any station is offering something looking too good, I would stay away from them”. This was to scare anyone from approaching stations that offer quality service by insinuating that they are not genuine.
Charlie Smith takes the forefront so that the pioneer behind this act who is David Hottle won’t be suspected or seen as responsible.
The next part of their plan was to attempt was to hit on Glacer FM’s Trustpilot profile page. Trustpilot is one of the most trusted platforms for reviews and lots of people would always seek information from them.
In the operation, Charlie Smith signed up for multiple fake accounts with fake names like Kid Antiscam, Mark, John, Paul…. etc. to repeatedly post with the scam words on their Trustpilot profile page, making it sound like reviews from multiple people.
This attempt failed because the fake reviews are automatically deleted once the system notices that it is from the same person. Trustpilot is smart in that they have specialized tools that detect location fraud or any schemes of this nature.
Trustpilot Review
By posting the above Trustpilot review as shown in the screenshot, the aim would be for people to google “Glacer FM scam” and find the negative articles that he posted on these open-source free writing platforms like medium, vocal media, daily advent…. etc. where google would index.
In this way, they could still make a successfully attack as a team.
Why Would David Hottle at College Underground Radio Do Such a Terrible Thing?
Situations like this happen every day and cunning people exists in every business sector, so this comes as no surprise, however, people ask why College Underground Radio was equally mentioned in the article by Charlie Smith.
The response this is that the plan was for a clean job to be done to avoid any suspicion. The owner at Glacer FM was once an employee at College Underground Radio which was founded over a dozen years back.
The employee had bigger dreams and would eventually break up with his boss to start his own venture leading to the issues he now faces. If College Underground Radio was not mentioned in the scam article, then David Hottle would be an evident suspect.
Secondly, David Hottle being outcompeted by his employee decided to cease on selling services at his station, to make the whole scenario smooth. If anyone checked, they won’t see that he is openly selling anything so it would have less of an effect on him.
Thirdly, the most important reason is that College Underground Radio had already been hit by negative press which caused a severe crash on their side.
If he had failed, that was it but watching his own employee who left abruptly, become more successful would be a real pain. Moreover, the employee had a big dreams and took extreme financial risks to make his own venture successful.
David Hottle won’t obviously take such a risk because he is of the old school but would rather team up with his partner unsigned radio station friends to frustrate the new one’s progress by sponsoring attacks.
Proof is that in addition to defamation attempts through negative press, Glacer FM’s website has been hacked on multiple occasions and they’ve had to hire experts to get things fixed.
A Proposed Solution for Stopping This Dirty Scheme
Unfortunately, there is a higher tendency or likelihood for people to accept and believe what they first stumble on. If you googled a brand and found that amongst search results on the first page was a negative one, how would you believe the contrary or even guess that the brand was suffering from severe a defamation attack.
Conclusively, my advice is for people to do proper investigations on whatever they see on the internet. This is because defamation is a serious issue plaguing our society and with open space like the internet, anyone could publish whatever they want.
Don’t get influenced by what people write or say! Conduct proper research and you should be able to decide for yourself once you do your own investigations.
